  1. If you are talking about the Y6 end of Key Stage Sat's then a L5 is the higher mark.

    Most children will achieve a L4, the less able a L3 and the most able a L5.  A small percent will get a level 5* (Five star)

    The Government hope that each year 80% will pass at L4 or above in maths and 75% at L4 or above in English.

    League tables will give you the year on year pass rate for an individual school and an online search will give you the pass rates for LEA's.  

    (E.g the pass rate at L5 in Milton Keynes for Maths in 2007 was 28%)
