I would say that most African communities remain Hunter/Gatherer/Pastoral...

It was only the white Europeans that introduced farming into small sections of Africa, for example, as the Dutch did in South Africa...

There are 900 million people in Africa and 294 million people, 32% live in urban areas. Very few people are true hunter gathers or live pastoral lives when you look at what that actually means.
