What percentage of Canada Calgary populations speak English? Thanks.?

I don't speak French, will that be a problem for me there. I am going for a diploma course. With best regard.

  1. The West, Alberta and Calgary tend to have the highest English speaking populations in the country.  Quebec is where there are more French speakers.  Although, with lots of jobs you might run into some relocated people that might speak one of several other languages.

    Here you go, if you scroll down on this link, it says that of a million people in the area around Calgary, about 600 spoke French only, and 21,000 spoke other languages other than English and French with over a million speaking English.


  2. You are very unlikely to run into someone in Calgary who speaks French but not English, or in fact anyone who speaks French at all. If you do find someone who speaks French only, they're probably a French tourist.

  3. 100% English.  The whole country doesn't speak French, only a fraction does.
