The correct answer is 25%. The rest are smart enough to realize they need to make some moves to be title worthy.

  1. I love the Lakers if we are going to win it all we need to get rid of MAD COW BRYANT!

  2. The Lakers needs to add big men.

  3. i do

  4. What up Corey,

i think coming into this season- the Lakers were exposed in the finals and most of us felt that we needed to add some toughness.  With a lot of teams making big moves during the off-season -- i think Laker fans would like to see Mitch make a move.

I think the Lakers Front Office is playing it smart- to see if they can make a minor deal or need to make a major deal.  A lot of that will hinge on how well Bynum and Ariza have recovered from their injuries- and how Odom plays at the 3.  i think the Lakers front-office feel they have not had the chance to evaluate this team completely when healthy- which they'll be when the season starts.

Losing Turiaf kind of hurts.  i'd like to see the Lakers pick up a veteran like a Bonzi Wells.  And i think we'll be able to find a suitor for Lamar Odom- with his expiring $14+million contract- if he struggles at the SF position- or fails to produce consistently.  It's actually a smart move to keep Odom right now- because in case Bynum does not recover well from the injury- you go back to Gasol at C and Odom at PF- but the Lakers want to give their players a chance to play at their natural positions and see how that plays out.

i think the Lakers as is- are good enough to win the West- but if they find themselves in the same situation as last year- i don't know that a healthy Bynum is enough to overcome the Celtics- who come into the system as the favorites.

i am sure tha the Lakers will have their offers and options ocme trade deadline time- and they should be in the mix of things- so if the right deal comes along- they should go for it.  If it's not enough to win this season- as long as the Lakers don't take on a bad contract- they will be about $16 million under the cap next off-season with a core of:  Kobe, Gasol, and Bynum, and would be in position to add another big name player- so i think they'll be in good shape in the long run in the future- and they have a legit shot to contend for the title this year.

  5. No, I think that either Kobe needs to go to a better team, or they need new players who can contribute to the wins instead of depending on Kobe...Kobe is the greatest !!!
