Not sure of exact statistics, but IMO I believe that p**n was meant more for heterosexual men.  

That's not to say that heterosexual women or g**s/lesbians don't enjoy p**n that's made to appeal to them, but really...most of the p**n that's made is geared towards to heterosexual males.

When I've browsed the adult movie shelf in the video stores or websites, most of what I see are porns that star barbie-doll type women with not so great looking guys...which obviously is meant to appeal to strait guys.

I think it would be very difficult to determine, all you could do is survey an area or an organisation and see how many there are to get a rough estimation.

id say about 5% of men and 60% of women under 30 have appeared in p**n of one sort or another in

ireland.

i hear around 82% of scottish women have appeared in pornography, which is a good thing because i think the scottish accent is very hot.

EDIT, seriously though, i have no idea what % of girls have done p**n but id imagine that there is widespread experimentation by the younger crowd with camera phones. Social networking sites like bebo are full if exhibitionists, there is one called faceparty.com that has got attention in the press because of females posting nude photos of themselves.

trashy female role models like paris hilton have done great work in normalising home made pornography and exhibitionism.

Sorry to burst the bubble of everyone in here fantasizing about wide spread pornography apparences, but the real answer is probably less than 1 %

1% of the current US population (which is around 400 million) would be 4,000,000 people, which is way more than I think realisticaly have been in Porno

Well, you would have to include history as well, as graphic images of sexual encounters have been traced back as far as man has existed with perhaps the most graphic being found in former Roman & Asian citites & temples.

It would depend on what you'd include when you consider pornography.  Are you including the "Girls Gone Wild" videos and the drunk girls who are photographed by strangers while lifting their shirts in the bars and various yearly celebrations in particular cities?  What about the ones whose boyfriends take pictures of them naked and (hopefully) don't show anybody?  If you include these, you're looking at a pretty high percentage of women in the United States.

I call most of these people "girls" on purpose because some of these behaviors aren't exactly mature.
