  1. I have never seen iron reported as a 'percentage'.  It would be too small and confusing a figure to work with.

    There are three iron tests: serum iron, total iron binding capacity, and ferritin iron.

    The normal ranges for each, respectively, are:

    1) 20-150 nanograms/millilitre (both men and women)

    2) 250-450 ng/mL (both men and women)

    3) 20-300 ng/mL (men) and 20-120 ng/mL (women)
