What percentage of global greenhouse has emissions come from the USA?

The United States is at fault for roughly one quarter (25%) of the world's total greenhouse gas emissions for two reasons in particular. First, the United States is well beyond the industrial stage. There are a lot of cars, factories, and other artificial sources of greenhouse gases. Second, we have the third largest population, which continues to grow.
