Rather than environmentally friendly cars, cars that get over maybe 30 or 35 miles a gallon.

  1. It looks like about 8%.

  2. What do you mean by enviro friendly???  You might be surprised by the number of diesels they buy.  Now even though diesel is from the same oil as gasoline, it does get better fuel economy.  They also buy cars with smaller engines than americans do.  Just an example of what I mean look at the VW with a gas and the same vehicle with a diesel.  The diesel goes a lot further on same amount of fuel.  advantage is the pollutants are spread out over a larger area so less left behind on a trip.  Since it goes further on a gallon you buy less fuel for the same miles traveled and therefore reduce your environmental footprint.

  3. Same as in any country.... not enough! Sorry I have no figures for you, just an opinion.
