I am afraid that I do not know the exact answer to your question but I would like to point out, if you don't mind, a couple of interesting things that I have noticed about some of the answers you have had. 9 of them say that non of the ice is melting and some then mention that it is getting thicker. Only one of them posted a link and that was 'world emperor' and her link went to an I hate Al Gore site.

  So how about we think about this for a minute...The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts.

None.  Right now polar ice is gaining in thickness and mass.  All melting as stopped now as it is the middle of winter and temps are well under -40 degrees.

Yes, I agree with some of the other answers.  I believe that we hear a lot of "scare tactics", some political views to make you think that the polar ice will no longer exist in a few years.  However, the earth has been evolving for years and change is inevitable.
