  1. According to the Society of American Baseball Research, since 1925, and excluding 1944, 1945, and 1994, the home field team has won 58% of the World Series.

    The caveat is that the key is winning the first two home games. "Home teams that won game one but lost game two went on to win only 9 out of 20 Series (45%)."

    As for home field advantage in earlier playoff rounds... you can't really say. The reason for that is the team with the better regular season record gets the home field advantage, so any statistical favoring of the home team probably has more to do with the better team prevailing than the home team.
