For example, if an average person drank 2L of fluid in a day, what percentage is kept by the body, excreted through urine, and excreted through f***s? How much does this vary when one is dehydrated?

  1. all water is excreted.

if you drink for example ''100 units''

60 will go when one urinates

    10 will go by sweating

30 units will go into cells, and 30 will come out again and get excreted for example in

    stools (f***s)

    respiration (breathing)

eventually all water is excreted (within about 48 hours) so water needs to be replaced constantly because we're going to lose water even if we do not drink it - thats why people dies after 48 - 72 hours of not drinking. hope that helps you

  2. the only thing i know is that our body is 72% water.
