Question:

What period are these clothes?

I know this is of extremely limited information, but I wondered whether someone might be able to help anyway;

A man's clothes, wearing a long black jacket, (apparently looks leather), with frilly cuffs round the sleeves.

Any pointers or clues as to which period it could be would be much appreciated.

  2. Well, from the frilly cuffs bit I'm going to guess it's either Medieval or Victorian but I'm not sure about it. By long black jacket do you mean a trench coat?

  3. Can you also descibe his haircut or footwear. These styles can also give us clues.  A picture would be best.
