to be completly honest ppl that choose things such as social worker, therapist, counsler, ect. ect. jobs well, the ppl that are better to be doing it, are ppl that have had need for those types of services/help earlier in their life

Compassion, understanding and the ability to sort out what people are saying.  Encourage them to stand on their own, yet be there when they falter.
