They can't sell them younger than 8 weeks, they're not weaned till then.  Do a google search on ferret rescues, they have ferrets they desperately need homes for.

You need to feed a high quality kitten chow, something with 35-50% protein levels or you're going to have nutritional problems showing up.  They're not a pet for everyone, this isn't like a kitten or puppy, these are ferrets, a completely different species.  Do your research before getting one, it makes a huge difference. And you need to locate a vet in advance who has experience with 'exotics' since not all are trained for ferrets.
