Question:

What pets can I keep in these cages?

I have two cages:

I have a 1 gallon tank (yes, I know it is very small) and I know I can't keep fish in there, not even a Betta, but is there any other kind of pet I can keep in there?

I also have a 2 or 5 gallon (don't worry, I will find out how big it is soon) and just in case, list pets that can be kept in a 2 gallon tank and 5 gallon tank.

They are both plastic, the bigger one has a screen lid, and the 1 gallon just has a lid with a hole designed for feeding times. I know I am very limited or may not be able to get any pet but I was just wondering.

So basically, tell me what pets you can keep in a 1, 2, or 5 gallon tank. Answers will be appreaciated!

  1. It's too small for any animal, you wouldn't even be able to keep a hamster in them, sorry.

  2. If it truly is a 5 gallon you could keep ONE dwarf puffer in it, try to match their habitat as best as you can, reddish rocks, plants, etc (research them) but dwarf puffers need 3 gallons to themselves as they are aggresive, but you could comfortably keep one in a 5 and you could use the other two to harvest food for them, such as snails..

  3. i think a fish or turtle

  4. Beta's can live in vases a one gallon tank would be a mansion for him, a 2 gallon could hold goldfish, the 5 gallon if you had a heater could hold tropical fish or you could convert it for an iguana or toads or even a small corn snake.
