Question:

What phase would the moon be in when the earth is a gibbious seen from the moon? Please help!?

This was a question in my GCSE astronomy and it has been really bugging me since the exam, i put that the moon would also be a gibbious but i really can't work it out! If anyone knows it would put my mind to rest about whther it is right or wrong! Thanks!

  1. You are incorrect.


  2. If the Earth appears to be Gibbous from the moon, then the moon would appear as a crescent as seen from the Earth.  

  3. If the Moon is full, the Earth would be "new", and vice-versa. So if the Moon is gibbous, the Earth would be a crescent.
