What philosophy should be adopted so that humans will respect and conserve the environment?

I believe that humans living today should behave as stewards of the planet and pass on the planet to our successors in better condition than we got it from our predecessors. It is selfishly destructive, unwise and immoral to do otherwise. This is the ethical statement, I hope all human beings will abide by. The past is past ,but the present and the future of humankind and the planet, that is our only sustaining habitat, are on all our shoulders.

That is a really good question.  Fear certainly doesn't work and using pure knowledge seems to go over just about everybody's head.  First people need to learn to think independently, then perhaps they will reach these conclusions on their own.  However, I don't think we have the luxury of time.

Campaign should be organised to conserve environment:

1. Trees, plants and creepers are living creatures

2. attempt to destroy them is attempt to murder

3. one plant/tree/creeper is equal to one human life

4. oxygen saves your life, trees save/add oxygen for your life

5. unlimited use of chemicals will destroy human race

6. conserve environment to conserve your child

7. polution will turn your child cripple

Buddha said it first, Christ made it fundamental to his teachings.

"Treat others as you would have them treat you."

You would not want someone wrecking your world, so don't wreck the world for the people either beside or yet to come.
