What photo editing softwares work with a canon powershot S5 IS?

Any image software will work.  I recently started using Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.0 because it allows you to import JPG photos into their RAW photo tool to do some of the enhanced work that you would normally do if you were working with a dSLR and RAW files.

GIMP, is also a nice (and free) program with much of the power (and steep learning curve unfortunately) of Photoshop.

If you are only going to do minimal things like red eye fixes and perhaps some cropping you can also use Picasa (from Google) or Windows Live Photo Gallery (Microsoft) which give you the basic tools and image library management and are also free.
