What photo program do I use to put 2 different images on top of each other , and still see both of them?

  1. You need an application that can handle "layers". Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Fireworks programs or Corel's Paintshop software are commercial programs commonly used to do this kind of work. I believe that the freeware GIMP program can also layer images these days.

I don't know exactly what you mean, but if you mean make each photo slightly faded (say, 50% transparency), that's possible with almost any decent photo program.  Anywhere from Microsoft Photo Editor, Fireworks, or Adobe Photoshop.  A free software, called PAINT.net, is also very powerful; I'm sure it's possible to do this on that.

  3. GIMP and Paint.Net both have layering facilities - and they are both free! Of the two ... paint.net is probably slightly easier to get to grips with. I also use Photoshop but thats going to set you back hundreds.
