  1. Take the class outside to the park and gather leaves.  Then take the leaves inside and make a collage out of them... :-)  They can find pretty colorful ones.

  2. Depends where you live-- if you're in a snowy place, you can have them help make snowmen or snow-trees and decorate them (as elves, Santa, christmas tree), but that is very Christmas-oriented which might exclude some kids.  You could also do something silly like make an area of snow more slick or sloped and have them try to slide something holiday-related as far as they can (like pumpkins, gourds, or pretend (e.g. snow-) pies ).

If there's no snow, then you can still decorate a tree outside, or can construct a big cardboard "turkey" with a huge hole for the moutn and have them try to "feed" it by throwing balls or something in.

  3. dargball...... lol....

  4. Holiday activities with physical activity can be anything really...

    Dance to holiday music

Act out skiing, throwing snow balls, making a snowman, etc.

  5. Outside:  Make snow angels, knock down pins with snowballs, group effort to make a HUGE snowman, Leaf scavenger hunt (see who can find the most red leaves first....or yellow...or the biggest leaf)

Indoors:  Take a cheap big plastic ball (the kind sold in Wal-Mart) and write action words like JUMP, DANCE, SKIP all over it and have the kids get in a circle and toss the ball to each other.  They catch the ball and then do whatever word is on top of the ball.  Put SING on the ball, too, and if someone catches that word then everyone has to join you in Jingle Bells or some other easy Christmas carol.

  6. Duck Duck Turkey (haha) if you have enough room, a limbo contest.
