  1. Realistically? There aren't any physical features that seperate them, for many centuries certain territories went back and forth between the two countries.

Anyone that can tell you someone is Polish vs Austrian is either a very good racist or they're a very good BS artist.

  2. About 400 miles of territory, known as the Czech Republic!

  3. Not a lot. However, although on this board people have jumped on you, when you travel throughout Europe you do notice people can look a little different in each region. Genetically all Europeans are descended from 7 women,so we are much of a much, but obviously in the days before much travel, certain characteristics will appear in a region(such as face shape, colouring) no doubt from local intermarriage.

There was a study done in Britain which took a an 'average' male & female face and showed the slight variations from region to region of the country. Some areas were more angular, some longer, some broader, while some had darker hair than others etc etc. These small differences literally varied from county to county within one country.

As for the women you mention, perhaps the Austrian woman would be slightly taller, perhaps a little fairer in colouring with a slightly longer narrower face. But as stated, this wouldn't necessarily be the case at all.
