Well I have a beautiful Epiphone Les Paul Custom and I've been feeling a bit unsteady with it's current pickups. I am looking for a pair of pickups that still keep that beautiful les paul bass and tone that it's known for, but I want something that is better quality than the current ones. I want something that has amazing clean sounds and kicks *** with distortion. I play anything from jazz to heavy metal. Should I go for original Gibson pickups? or maybe SDs? What about EMGs? I am really learning towards burstbuckers from gibson. But i am unsure. I really want that balance, it's just that this guitar with the right pickups can easily sound like a real gibson, but it's current pickups are only decent, not excellent.

  1. id go with the burstbucklers- they are simply the best humbuckers you can get.

I mainly play with strats but i've actually modified my guitar(American Deluxe) to fit them
