  1. When the guy I loved moved to Australia, I was really sad for a while and drew a piece of art where everything on the page related to us, it was really beautiful and very retro looking with lots of bright colours and shapes.

  2. I made a sculpture of a Mushroom which was exhibited in a gallery, and was highly praised, but I am most proud of an oil painting of a Moon Gazing Hare, because it is a piece I would like to own even if I hadn't done it myself!

  3. The first one I sold for over £1,000,it was an oil of a Spanish man-o-war

  4. Always the last one I've done, because it contains everything I have learned throughout the years.

  5. I don't have just one. I have several. Those are the  ones that have a special significance such as winning awards or being purchased by someone close.

  6. Years ago I machine embroidered a satin cushion for my Grandmother's 80'th birthday. It was round, white, and in the centre I embroidered an old fashioned number 80 filled with roses in colour changing silk thread in various shades of pink with a silver edge. It took me ages and she loved it. Unfortunately she died 10 years ago and nobody know what became of it. Still, I was immensely proud of it.

These are all taken from my pen and ink drawings. I'm most proud of the 'White Stripes - Elephant' as I think it's the most striking but also have a soft spot for 'The Beatles' one as it took so long to complete.

  8. The last I painted. just because to be an artist you have to move forward, not look backwards at what a masterpiece you ave done.

  9. So far i would have to say i have two. Both are portraits, one of my son and the other my daughter. My daughter i painted when i was first teaching myself to paint with oils and my son's came later. I've since painted several others but it's these two that made me realize that i was on to something.  I don't want to be considered a portrait artist and i don't call myself one, but it's these two paintings that i incuded in my portfolio that eventually led to some commissioned work. I'm currently working on another portrait that i was hired to do (a country legend) and it will no doubt be the best so far. My work can be checked out at hellosanantonio.com under artist name GUERRO1.

  10. I was doing this watercolour of Manchester City football stadium and messed the sky right up[ skies not being my strong point!] so I ran in the kitchen for some paper towels and dabbed it, then painted a made-up firework display on top of the darker colour I'd applied. This finally gave me a highly satisfying outcome. The trials and tribulations of being a painter- and some people actually think we find it easy!

  11. Pride is something I try and remove from the creative process as it makes you make bad decisions.
