What pills can I take to relieve stress?

I've been through a lot in the past year, from spending hundreds on a girl who doesn't feel the same, to being held at gunpoint, to being hit by a car to having my own first car totaled right before university starts. Now I've got to take the bus, something that gives me a lot of undue stress.. And I thought I could take it all. But I can't.

School is right around the corner and I don't have time or money for a counselor. Pills are much more convenient. Please help me. I don't smoke, I don't do drugs and my mental health is fine. What pills can I take and where can I get them?

  1. at the grocery store in the vitamin isle there is pills for stress around the multi vitamins

  2. First of all, the only pills that are going to help require a prescription. Second of all, you're consulting strangers who may or may not have any medical background whatsoever. Go see a doctor and do it the right way.

  3. Pills suck. Prescription pills will have bad side effects and vitamins rarely work. If you start to excersize you will feel so much better. It really is a miracle cure. I used to be very depressed and grind my teeth at night. Some cardio activity really really helps tremendously! Good luck and feel better!!

  4. Pills are not the answer.  They don't fix the problem, just attempt (and rarely work) to hide it from you.  Try an exercise regimine.  Adrenaline is a great stress reliever, and it won't cost you a thing.

I guess you have to chalk all this stuff up to growing up, becoming an adult and learning the hard way.

  5. If you do decide to go see a doctor about this, see if he will prescribe you something for anxiety, like Xanax.I think it would help you but know that taking meds like this may cause you to become dependent on them.Discuss the options with your doctor and the side effects.Good luck to you!!
