What pitchers have either pitched a no hitter before or after they were with the Mets, but not for them?

The Mets amazingly have never had a no hitter. I was just curious to see the list of all the great pitchers that were good enough to pitch one but somehow never did for them.

  1. Dwight Gooden pitched a perfect game while he was in High School, if that counts. He pitched a no-hitter when he left for the Yankees, too.


  2. Nomo-san did it before AND after being a Met.


  3. Before: Warren Spahn.  After, a lot more: Nolan Ryan, Tom Seaver, Dwight Gooden, David Cone, Mike Scott, and those are just the ones I can think of at the moment.
