  1. Our local animal shelter loves volunteers at any age. The biggest help is walking the dogs and playng with the animals.

Keeps the animals people friendly and more adoptable.

Call around, you should find one in your area

  2. I am volunteer coordinator for the city shelter. She can volunteer with you. You must accompany her for her shift.

As for no-kill, there is no such thing. Even places that say they are no kill, take their animals some where else to euthanized.

She is 13 and life will not meet "her expectations". Why not learn about how life really is and not "sugar coat" it.

  3. You can take her to the animal  shelters, or you could find a humane society in your area and they would love the help or she could start her own dog walking business to make extra money and spend time helping others who are too busy to take their dogs out.
