A woman who broke all stereotypes in the medieval era when women were burnt as witches is something perhaps that has not being equalled or surpassed ever.

What could she give as a role model for women today as a woman who became a soldier and led a whole army of France against inavders to defend her country?

Doesent she deserve the respect of all mena and women alike?

Does this not prove that women despite their physically delecate structure can actually take to arms if required?

  1. Joan of Arc was just one more person who  killed in name of god and religion, she was not a heroine.

  2. Yes, she was a remarkable and brave woman who served her country well. However, she was ultimately betrayed and executed for "going against nature" (among other reasons), for not wearing women's clothing or behaving womanly.

I admire her for not "keeping her head down" during a time when women were treated worse than livestock. She paid for it with her life.

  3. Saint Joan of Arc epitomizes what Saint Paul wrote in Philippians 4:13

"I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me"

  4. Joan's fort'e was in her dedication and drive for that she believed in.

  5. She is a national hero and she is remembered well.

She was a person that men could rally behind in a time when the kingdom had no leaders. I seriously doubt that a teenage peasant girl would've had the strength to actually fight in over 50 pounds of armour. Her presence inspired the soldiers of France to courage because they knew that God was with them. That and an undying faith that what she was doing was right were her virtues.

The crime she was accused of after being captured by the English was cross dressing. An act which was actually legally justifiable in her situation. She was burned anyway because the English wanted her out of the way.
