  1. Unfortunately not. As a former wife of a cheating husband I personally think that most of today's society don't believe in the vows they speak. They are just words and have no meaning. I personally think that if you say the vows, they should mean something to you at all cost.

  2. what place does:

    drug use

    drunk driving

    wife beating

    filing false tax returns

    stealing pens from work

surfing the web all day at the office

running left hand turn red lights

cutting people off on the freeway

    faking an o****m

    pretending to be pregnant

    writing the African scam e-mail

    have in our society?

They are all examples, as is cheating, of selfish greedy self absorbed juvenile self centered motherf*ckers doing whatever they want when they want and to h**l with the consequences and everyone else on the planet.

  3. In order to have a marriage where both parties stay loyal to each other, you need to have a marriage between two ADULTS.  Adults do not withhold s*x from the other party.  Adults communicate.  Adults do not go for quick fixes to any situation and ADULTS act like ADULTS.  You have too many people who are the right age to be considered an adult but their maturity level is that of a teen.  Communication and understanding between two ADULTS is the only way to a good long lasting marriage.

  4. Sure it has a place, just as women who withold s*x as a means of control have a place.  You think my wife reads the bible and says "oh, I should give him s*x, it's sacred" nope.  You think I have any recourse NOPE.  I can't do ANYTHING about it.

Just like my wife thinks it's fun to withhold s*x from our marriage, I'm starting to think it would be real fun to get some more elsewhere.

Hey, even Jesus hung around with whores.

  5. Marriage, especially in America, is less that worthless now.  Adultery has been culturalized and is not only accepted, but expected.

On the oily surface of society it is still treated as taboo; however, it is rampant.

Marriage, legal marriage is such a bad idea that I put it on the list of one of the dumbest things a person can do now.

  6. It has no place in our society.  People who still want to play should not get married.

  7. What people FAIL to realize is its not more acceptable just out in the open.  Im no feminist, but HELLO women used to be taught, oh its something a man just does, you ignore it. We had NO rights to divorce, we were scorned for it so we put up with it.

OK, here we are in the 21st century, women dont have to put up with it and be Mrs. Leave it to Beaver. AND weve come to terms with our own sexuality, the fact we also LIKE it, long for it and miss it when we dont have it.

I think cheating is totally b/s never done it myself, nor would condone it. However, be realistic, its always been there, just used to be hush hushed.

  8. It seems pretty common now a days especially with all the questions about cheating on here. I guess when slick Willie and Monica got caught people must of thought it is acceptable.

  9. People view marriage as 'oh well, if it doesn't work out, just get a divorce' now a days.  I'm not sure why people are so quick to get married anymore.  Not only do it not have a place in our society, betrayal is one of the most hurtful things someone can do.

  10. Its our modern day fair tales.

Meeting someone and for both of you to sacrafice everything to be with each other.

Its the stuff that sells trashy romance novels.

  11.   As cheating exists, has and will exist, may I say that it remains at the same place it has always been : the lowest place. You wrote "...in our society " because it appears to be tolerated and it is justified by saying : everybody is doing it. However, it still remains an ugly stain in anyone's marriage.

  12. cheating and adultery have no place in society, if you want some variety don't get married

  13. Not that cheating/adultry has a place in our society today, but its accepted, people tolerate it, and couples recover from it.  It's a private matter between 2 people.  Some people find good reason to get thru it, others don't - it depends on your commitment to the marriage.

Also, as we all grow older, we change, we go thru different stages in our lives and sometimes our values change.  People find themselves growing away from their spouse - they're looking for something they're not getting in their marriage.    It isn't right, but it happens.

My own marriage - I am incredibly lucky, I have a wonderful spouse and have no reason to look outside my marriage for anything.

  14. marriage today is not like 50 or 60 years ago. no one wants to work at it any more.

  15. NONE AT ALL!!!
