Best vacation,and what was so great about it?

This summer we drove from Yellowstone to Devils Tower and then on to Mount Rushmore.  We bought a National Parks pass and it was super easy.  These sites were not only amazing and awe inspiring but it was a very relaxing vacation because we were able to do everything on our own schedule and take our time.

We actually saw two different families at all 3 locations on the same days we were there.  It was pretty funny.  Some people we talked to were also going to see the grand tetons on their loop and that would be great fun.

Part of this trip that made it so spectacular for our kids was the flag ceremony at Mount Rushmore in the evening.  As the sun goes down they light up the faces and retire the colors.  It doesn't sound like much but the kids loved it.

It was very relaxing, beautiful, and there was definitely something for everyone of all ages at every place we visited.
