  1. I live in Windsor and I assume you are talking about the University of Windsor.  In that specific area, of course, it is mostly student rentals so it will be neighbourhoods teeming with students.  Personally, if I were interested in staying close to the U, I would pick an area east of the University (Randolph, Rankin, etc.) or immediately west (near the bridge) but I would not get so far west that you get in a low-income neighbourhood (such as King, Queen, Peter, St. Joseph, etc.)

If you're interested in downtown (which is about 3 or 4 miles from the U), anything a couple of blocks south of Wyandotte West right up to Tecumseh is OK.  They are older homes but mostly working-class and not as many students.  This would be Dougall, Church, Janette, etc.  I would stay away from anything north of Wyandotte (this being between Wyandotte and the Detroit River) on those streets as they tend to be rougher and there is an element of drugs and prostitution around there.

Other than that, you might want to avoid Drouillard Road and its immediate surroundings.  It is a little rough around there are well and has a couple of biker bars etc. you would want to avoid.

If you have a car, or if you're talking about St. Clair College, anywhere in South Windsor is fine, the east area around the Chrysler plant is fine (lots of working class people and wartime smaller homes), Riverside is great (but may be pricey and you are getting quite a distance away from school)

Hope you find something suitable.  If I can help you further, just let me know.

    Good luck!

Hi again...looking at your profile, it looks like you might have a Middle Eastern background.  I don't know if it is important to you, or if you even care, but Windsor has a fairly concentrated Middle Eastern population around the Wyandotte Street East area between Goyeau and

Lincoln. You don't say how old your siblings are or if they're still in school but there are a couple of grade schools in that area with fairly large Middle Eastern student demographics. The only problem about that area, as well, is that that area of Wyandotte Street East seems to appeal to the prostitutes.  Sorry.

Also, to get your bearings in Windsor, when you are looking at the river and Detroit, that is North.  You can figure the rest out from that.

(Yes, Detroit is actually north of Windsor!)
