  2. Ummm.  Are you looking for a Flamenco show?  yes, there are several.  Some of the best dancers in the country live and dance in Barcelona.

The buildings aren't "in Spanish"...I'm not sure what you mean by that, but you want to take a tour of the Eixample neighborhood, to see all the Modernista architecture, and the Templo de la Sagrada Familia - the famous unfinished masterpiece of Gaudí.  A tour (you can walk this one) of the Barri Gotic, which includes the Cathedral.  Stroll down the Ramblas, checking out the sidewalk booths and performance artists.  Stop for ice cream at any one of several little shops that make their own fresh (YUmmm!)  and then have the freshest seafood ever at the Port Vell...any of the restaurants in the area.

One thing that is a great highlight, and you should check into as soon as you get into town is the Palau Musica, for the beautiful building and the famous skylight in the auditorium, but they close to the public with no real warning, so you want to check the schedule, to make sure you fit it in.  Also, we enjoyed the Museu Xocolat...sculptures in chocolate, with a really tasty gift shop!

  3. Here are the key tourist spots that you should definitely consider visiting:

    La Sagrada Familia

Montjuïc Hill (the from here of Barcelona is absolutely breathtaking!)

    Barrio Gótico

    Barcelona Cathedral

    Parque Guell

Las Ramblas (while you're here you should definitely order paella + sangria but warning!! it might be a bit pricey since Las Ramblas is a hot spot for tourists so maybe if you find a place in one of the side roads you'll be able to find a better deal. also, since you're near the water you should definitely try and spend a few hours at the beach and take a dip in the Medit. Sea)

    As for other things...

Try visiting the Camp Nou (if you like sports) ... its always so surreal to step on the same grounds as some of the most prestigious footballers :)

    happy trip!

  4. In terms of cultural things you should do, definitely go to a nice restaurant and order paella and sangria.  Its friggin delicious.  I had one of the best times of my life in Barcelona.
