  1. The airline determines if the screen things are installed, they do not automatically come in all aircraft of a certain type or manufacturer.

*Edit: Another poser-idiot giving me the thumbs down. Airlines choose what seats and what amenities are installed in each aircraft. With the "they come in every modern aircraft" theory, the likes of Southwest, and other discount and charter carriers would be forced to have a screen that they don't offer any entertainment on! Some of you posers are too stupid to think past the end of your noses. I've been in the business in excess of 20 years, the last 12 have been in the commercial aircraft leasing end. Each customer picks the interior set up that they want. I OFTEN change interior arrangements adding and subtracting seats, satellite systems, tv screens, etc. to meet the needs of the next operator.

Another thing....since I'm on a rant, most, and I'm not saying every, but most pilots have no idea how an aircraft works internally. Most only know how to manipulate the controls and radios to make the aircraft move from point A to point B. If you asked one of them to go point out the fuel control on the engine, they'd be hard pressed to even know how to get the cowl open. I mean no disrespect, but the flying public has this image of the pilot that isn't even close to being accurate.

  6. if you are talking about for the pilots, that is a Heads Up Display or HUD and even small aircraft have then now. It just depends on the budget. Passenger planes though. Well all planes in a fleet are not the same age. I would assume the newer planes in a fleet have them however it is again a budget issue. As well older aircraft may have been upgraded for passenger comfort. You guess is as probably as good as the ticket sales person, unless there is a special marketing for a higher ticket price and luxury. 1st class is almost a sure bet if it means that much too you.

    enjoy your flight...
