What plants have really thorny branches and an orange smooth-skinned fruitt?

i dont think its citrus because it has a pit inside...i would like to kno if its edible and i cant find it online...the branches are really thorny and i live in south florida i dont kno if its native or not but i see them alot...the leaves are kinda a light green elliptical shape (sorta) post a link to a sight with pictures post or a picture of the plant if possible
