What plants should I plant?

Question

I live in Austin, Texas and would like to start a vegetable garden in my backyard but I don't know what plants are best to plant during each season.

I've had tomatoes, peppers and basil but I was wondering if anyone knew any others that will turn out well in my hot dry climate? And when I should plant them.

well don't do melons or lettuce unless u have a lot of rain there. I would say potatoes may work. pretty much any plant that doesn't take a ton of water like peppers which you have planted would be a perfect plant.
