What plasma tv has the best picture quality?

i need to buy a new plasma for my house but i want one with great picture quality. Any suggestions?

Panasonic has been a Consumer Report best buy and a top seller in the United States for about 4 years now.  

Samsung is the top seller over all categories but Panasonic has 40% of the market share of sales in the plasma category.  

As for the pressure to buy LCD over plasma, buy what you want.  Each technology has their pros and cons.  It's almost as bad as the never ending argument on what's better Ford or Chevy!

this is the rule of thumb for purchasing tv in todays market place. If you play video games you need to get an LCD because of the potential burning of the screen from video game images. If you are a movie buff or a sports guru on sundays plasma is the way to go as the response time is quicker.

Video Gamer = LCD

Sunday Sports Watcher and Movie Buff = Plasma

I would get consumer reports as they would be your best bet to find a good quality tv. Sometimes they find some new brand on the market or one model that is really good that you never look at. Pioneer is sort of a name in plasma that is good to my general knowledge. I don't know anymore though there seems to be a new television every day.

I have a samsung plasma picture is really good but as i deliver televisions Sony LCD is great picture quality and the best deal is from marks and Spencer cheap and get free delivery plus 5 years free warranty

Buy an LCD instead of plasma.  Sony Bravia and Sharp Aquos still have the best picture quality.  Many talk about the Samsung but 2 of my family members bought that one and they have complained about the complicated tv functions and the picture isn't as clear. Try to compare them at the store for yourself, but I guarantee you that Sony and Sharp have a sharper picture.
