Gonchar and Malkin. Gonch is getting old and he might want to go back. Malkin because he follows Gonch like a little lost puppy.

BUT.....If the Russians want any of the following I'd be more than pleased to give them them.

Afinogenov, but I'm not too worried about him leaving the team. I could see Kalinin going there this offseason if he can't get a fair contract.

On the Panthers none. Right now we have no Russians really. I am disappointed with that. But They can have The players we are not resigning in Mezei and Peltonen.

The Lightning don't have any Russian players so I'm drinking Mai Tais and sitting pretty.

The only other player on my second most beloved team would be Alex Kovalev...but he is old blood, and doubt he would ever leave the NHL.

yashin for sure. he's already gone, but i think this will ensure that his return will never happen. and that's a great thing for me, the islanders wasted far too much time and money on him, and it would just be good to know that there would be absolutely no chance of them being able to do it again. and basically any other russian player in the NHL who is either struggling with their career or very patriotic, or both of those.

Not many people want to live in Russia, so I wouldn't worry much. Only desperate players will go over there, you know the ones who can't get a job in the NHL(Dubielewicz), or the ones the NHL doesn't want anymore(Simon, Yashin).

I'm not too worried about it. I don't think too many players would want to go, unless they're not a big name and think they could have a bigger name elswhere. For most players around the world it's there dream to play in the NHL and win the Stanley Cup. They're living the dream, why go back?
