  1. I'll tell you one thing, they can't get everyone at once. If they do, they'll either have to trade lots of their starters or a whole bunch of prospects. And I don't think the Cubs are willing to do that.

For Sabathia, I think a good second baseman, like DeRosa or Theriot, and some pitchers. The Indians need a good infielder with Barfield injured, and no good replacements. As for the pitching, the bullpen for the Indians is an issue because of the inconstent closing by Borowski. And they need a closer now that he's gone.

For Roberts, I'd say a shortstop. They haven't really settled in on who to start at short and whoever did play at shortstop never really performed well. Cedeno and Theriot are big trade baits.

For Sheets, I really doubt this will happen if the Cubs get Sabathia, because then the payroll would be soaring way up high. But if they don't get Sabathia, a third baseman or second baseman would be nice. The Brewers have Branyan and Hall at third, neither of them really that great right now. At second base, Weeks is doing moderately well, but has had his struggles and hitting .210 isn't exactly a good thing when you're leading off. And Theriot again could make a deal possible.

In a nutshell, Theriot will probably be a goner.
