What point in the season do the Junior nation fans throw in the towel and begin cheering for Johnson to 3peat?

so if it comes down to it..in the chase it's Jimmie all the way!

Nope, die hard Dale Jr fans like me will always stick with him, I stuck with him last yr so why would I toss in the towel...I like all Hms drivers, but Dale Jr is my fav. Once a Dale Jr fan always a Dale Jr fan.I also like to see Jimmie, Jeff and Casey do well also.

It's like this Jr is my favorite and I stick with my driver no matter what, win, or lose!! But I also like a couple other drivers, Jimmie being one of them so if there's no way Jr can win (cause he's first in my book) then of course I'd like to see Jimmie win over someone else! But that's not bandwagoning cause I've liked Jimmie and Stewart for a long time they are my second and third guys!!

if you only cheer for one driver you're weird. you're supposed to have many favorites. I liked Gordon and Johnson way before this year but mot of jr. nation cheered for johnson when he started being nice to Dale Jr. and when Dale Jr. joined HMS.

I'll switch for the last five laps at Homestead, if Jr. has been mathematically eliminated by then. And only if Johnson is gonna beat Busch for the title. If It comes down to the 48 and 99 I'll stay neutral. And then I'll get right back on the horse, and start talking about the changes Jr. needs to make for next season.

Personally, I've lost interest in NASCAR as of late for many reasons if I do decide to watch it's for one reason to see JJ crash or finish 44th...43rd is to good for him. I can't stand PRETTY BOYS. At the end I guess I'd root for Scott Riggs so Tony's team gets off to a competitive start next year.

Junior will be in the Chase with at least 10 bonus points. Drivers like Gordon, Biffle, and Kenseth have no wins this year. If David Ragan gets in he has not won a race this year either. There is no reason to give up on the 88 yet. I am a Carl Edwards fan so I am hoping he wins, not Junior or Jimmie Johnson although I would pull for Jimmie or Junior if they are chasing Kyle Busch. I don't like Toyotas.

REAL fans are not band wagon jumpers. I will pull for jr even if he's dead last. Because your driver isn't doing well doesn't mean you abandon him.

I would say IF he becomes mathematically eliminated, the majority would rather see Johnson win over Kyle Busch. But, I am also sure that is a big IF to the Jr. fans. For me, it is the opposite. IF Johnson becomes mathematically eliminated, I will cheer for Jr. to win. That's the beauty of having one favorite, and liking many others!
