What pointe shoes should I get

my feet are size 11 in wal-mart shoes and 9 1/2 in payless shoes and my feet are long and skinny

its always better to get them fit by someone who knows what they're doing.

as for types of shoes....I really like gaynor minden's....but I've heard of other brands that are great too like capezio, sansha's, etc.

I recommend that you go get fitted. Pointe shoes should fit to your feet specifically and should be comfortable when dancing. Make sure when fitting that you also figure in if you will be wearing any gel pads or cotton in your shoe. Good luck!!

No one can tell you what sort of shoe you will  need, you need to go to a proper dance shop and fitted, your pointe shoes need to fit perfectly and your toes need to just touch the end, and they should not gape around your feet.
