i'm asking what pokemon make one of the best, not one that can beat everyone(but yeah i didn't explain myself enough but thanks anyways)

I can tell you the teams I used in the first two generations,, though. I never had any trouble with them.

Getting the best team ever is futile and impossible. There are way too many variables and moves to pin one. I would still think the best thing to have is variety in types and moves and two pokemon that know ice beam, and a couple pokemon that can take hits.
