I make 60k a year and want to be taxed less

I am single/no kids (might get married but not looking to have kids)

I am pro-choice (although its not a big deal to me)

I want tougher laws to keep out illegal immigrants

I don't want universal health care if it will increase my taxes

I'm not in favor of the war in Iraq

I think online gambling should be legalized

I think there should be less spying and control by the government

I think laws should be stricter to determine who is eligible for welfare and government aid. People should not just be given money. They should have to prove they are trying but still cannot make ends meet.

  1. You would have to classify yourself as an independent.  Some of your policies are Republican, some are Democratic, and some are Libertarian.  If you really want to commit to one party or the other, you'll have to prioritize what you want and pick the party that shares the most of your values.

  2. The Democratic party suits you best because you would get most of the things you want from the Democratic party...

  3. Your stances break down as the following

    1) conservative

    2) could be either

    3) liberal

    4) conservative

    5) conservative

    6) liberal

    7) could be either

8)Do you support spying on suspected terrorists?

    9) conservative

I would say you are independent and could go either way in an election.

  4. You should be a Libertarian.  Their platform is almost exactly what you have cited.

I agree with the Libertarian position although they seem to approve of g*y marriage which I oppose.

They also do not believe religion and praying should be a part of the government's agenda.

  5. A moderate Republican or a conservative Democrat would best suit your needs.

  6. The majority makes you like a republican!!

  7. You're more Conservative/Republican, however it is possible to be a Conservative/Democrat.  You should consider yourself Con/Lib first as that defines how you lead your daily life and the decisions you make.  Based on that you should then choose how you vote.  Many Libs vote Rep and vice versa.  In the words of H. Ross Peroe, "Vote your conscience".

A Democrat believes in "For the good of all people", ie universal healthcare, welfare as a way of life, etc.  A Republican believes in doing what's right even if it means hurting a few people - basically do things for yourself and don't rely on the Govt to do it for you.  Too many times these things cross lines and it's hard to choose, but it's up to you to dig deep inside yourself and find the answer.

For example - let's say you're bible thumping, pro-life (anti abortion) Christian.  Let's assume you're a 17 year old feamle and were savagely raped and have become pregnant.  Do you 1) violate your beliefs and encourage abortion because this baby was not concieved out of love, or 2) do you abort because you don't want this beast in your life in any way, shape, or form, or 3)  carry full term and adopt?

Liberals would abort in a second, conservatives would not, moderates might consider adoption.

  8. The concerns you have indicate that you are a republican however the republican party is no longer republican. SO your best bet is to go third party. Either libertarian, constitutionalists or the independent party. Trust me on this one the republicans and democrats are a two headed snake. Both are too corrupt to stand behind and therefore if this country wants any kind of real change for their benefit and not the police state we are gravitating toward you must break this conception that this country is made up of a two party system.

Democrats bloacked the impeachment of Bush, they continued to finance the illegal wars even after the people voted them into majority to end the war in Iraq they do just the opposite.

What more do the AMerican people need to wake up. We keep falling for the same BS and we will get more of the same. A declining economy, more wars, more police state tactics, more taxes and less freedom.

Lets do this what candidate has mentioned anything about the corrupt federal reserve, the fact that the US funded Georgia and prodded them to attack south Ossetia, the removal of constitutional rights. Nope not McCain or Obama are talking they are the same corrupt politicians that will continue the agenda of an empire destined to fail as all empires do.

In fact you want the same principles that Ron Paul has been preaching for over 20 years. You are not alone in your reasoning either because Ron Paul broke the all time record for most donations in one day with 6.3 million from middle class everyday citizens like you and me.

Try researching the Campaign for Liberty. Possibly a fresh new party for the people and not the government.

  9. Left of Center Republican.
