What popular flower makes you think of Italy?

I want to put some flowers that remind us of Italy in our living room, but what?

I remember the olive and lemon trees, but not the flowers.

  1. I'italian and in my country there are a lots of beautiful flowers like sunflowers marguerites tulips.....


  2. Sunflowers (Tuscany has fields and fields of them).   Also, stelle alpine (sorry but I don't know the translation....you find them in the mountains).  Other flowers could be orange blossoms considering all the orange and lemon orchards there are in Sicily.  I live in Italy.

    I actually remember Magnolia's from the Villa Borghese in Roma - I remember I was shocked seeing them there too!

  5. Well....Poppies are wild all over the country side, but so are daisies. Those two flowers are everywhere. North, Central and South Italy.

  6. The Sprekelia Formosisima (red Fleur de Lis)... It is the flower that represents Florence, and Firenze to me is the epitomy of the beauty of Italy.

Hey,I live in the lago di Garda!!!!Well,a flower which is typical in Italy are sunflowers(especially in the south)...But in this period the most famous are le mimose (actually they are small yellow flowers which look like little balls)...Boyfriend and husbans give them as a present to their fiancée on la festa della donna (Woman's day,i don't know if you celebrate it) which takes place in March!
