What position do you think will AUS be in the medal tally by the end of the olympics???

we are averaging about 5th/6th now but what place will our great country be in by the end

i think austraia will fall back in the medal tally... i think we should brace ourselves for merely a top ten finish... since we missed crucial medals in cycling and shooting already, and our athletics team is not that good, we will be falling behind other countries after the swimming is finished. Australia should really invest in more multi-medal sports such as boxing, judo, shooting, weightlifting, fencing and tae kwon do if we want to compete with the top nations... team sports are great but they only contribute ONE medal into our overall tally...

I think we'll probably end up in 5th or 6th place. We have a heap of medals yet to come, but as usual, we'll fall down in track and field. Not bad for 21.3 million people eh mate?

I think that they will be in at least 4th place by the end of the Beijing Olympics.
