What position of magnets and wire-coil is most efficient for electricity generation?

It depends on the design and requirement state of the output. For AC generators i.e. alternators, magnets have to be rotated but the armature (wire-coil) has to be fixed and the opposite for DC generators. But they must be at a position so that the rate of change of flux cut by the wire coils be maximum.You will also have to minimize the airgap.

there are many more factors involved like Air Gap etc.

Also remember  the  Speed of the Prime Mover of the Coil through the Magnetic Field and you have it!
