I am around 5'7'' and around 150 pounds. I have a size 31-32 inch waist. Which position will I be best for my high school freshmen team?

(I've played goaly in 6th and was very good. I also play defense quite well too.) In PE I ran the mile on average for 6:21 and ran a 6.2 mile run at 44 minutes. I have a 17 second 100 meter dash. I want to be though this year a sweeper in soccer or luckily goalie. But actually which position should I play? (I almost made the 8th grade Varsity team last year but was brought down to JV cause I toebash.)

  5. I'm just like you

    I'm around 5'8' and around 145.

You should really tryout for keeper.

    That's what i did.

If you really can't decide and if you do make the team as keeper just ask your coach if some games he/she can substitute you in for mid-field or defense. I'm sure your high school coach would be fine with it.

I most goalie but we have a substitute goalie and when she goes in I just take a mid-fielders place and just played there till the end of the game.

    Hope this helped

  6. im 13 5'5 110 pounds and i am a forward because i score a lot of goals and my 100 meter dash was a 13.6 so im really fast and i have a lot of good foot skills (im a girl btw) and my dumb a$$ coach is such an idiot he put me as goalie because are team SUCKED and it was reallly not fair and the last game i just went up and left the goal opened and scored a goal then the game before that i just stood there the whole team and ignored everything he said and it felt awesome so yeah...srry this has been all about me lol but i think you should maybe play defence goalie or sweeper because your not that fast but you can run quite good in distance so yes deffinately stay behind the halfback. hope i helped :] (and btw aree you a boy or girl becasue if your 150 thats a little on the heavy side for a girl unless its all muscle)

  7. ^ Lol, pretty funny stuff. You don't have to be a fast player to play the role of a sweeper. If you can't keep possession of a ball, then you should be a goalkeeper. Keep in mind that keepers have to keep awake and be quick. They don't need to run fast but definitely have some quickness to their reaction.

  8. goalie
