What position should i go for in football?

Question

im 5"7 150lbs i have speed and i have great hands?

what should i do to be help me understand it and learn how to play that position?

if you have good speed and hands i would say running back. B/c if your a fast runner, you can run ahead, get open, and be ready for the ball since it WILL come your way if you're open. Make sure you can run and catch a football that is leading you if you choose that position.

otherwise you could be center, which basically snaps the ball back to the quarterback. But if your fast and would like to be a big part of the team and make touchdowns, go for the Running back.

If you got hops and aren't afraid to come up and hit, I would stick to defensive back (DB). With your size, you have more of chance getting playing time on the defensive side of the ball then on O. Watch footages of Deion Sanders, Charles Woodson and Champ Bailey.  If you have decent speed - you can always get your hands on the ball by playing special teams - kick return and punt return.  GOOD LUCK to you.

Wide receiver.  You can use the net to get information about what to learn.  Some things are the various routes that you run, how to block, how to determine what defense that you are working against.  Good luck.

The position you should go for is one that will showcase your great hands.  That position would be running back or wide receiver.  Coaches loves players that can catch the football, even if you are a little small they will still put you on the playing field if you have speed and hands.

I think the easiest one is QB.

running back: the guy that the quarterback throws the ball to. you have to basically run with it to the other end or run as far as you can, then throw it to another player or do whatever the play is. I don't even know how I know about football...Don't just try out for quarterback because it's the most popular. You wouldn't do as well and it would be a waste to not put your speed to good use.
