What position should i play on defence. what would i need to do to be safety?

im in the 7th grade, this is my first year playing football. i have very good hands so i thought about playing revever but im not tall enough. thier is no other positions i wana play on offence. now im thinking def. i have an enterest in playing safety but every one is telling me i should play Dend or OLB.

i am 5,3 and 220lb. im faster then a LB but slower then a CB.

Wow man that is really hard to say.  I will have to ride the fense alittle on this one and say get out there and try out each postion to see what fits well and what you like.  Remember you are just getting started, you  can always move around later if the coach thinks it will work out.  Good luck and have fun.
