I'm 5ft 5in., weight: 180, i run fast for my weight, also i'm the type of athletic heavier people but don't really have that much football experience. I can tackle, but can't really catch. This is for 9th grade football.

  1. In high school you can play both sides offense and defense. so why dont you try to play fullback on offense, you'll block for the other running back and be the guy to get the short yard carries. And as far as defense try out for linebacker  middle or outside it doesnt matter, there you'll be able to get alot of contact.

  2. D- line

  3. Depending on how fast you are, you could do quite a bit with that size. If you have top-tier speed (i.e. you run a 40 yard dash in under 4.7 seconds), I would say safety although it helps to be able to catch the ball. If you have average speed (4.7-5.0) you could probably try linebacker (very fun positions, but they work a little harder). Defensive line is more about strength and hand quickness than flat-out speed, so if you're strong feel free to try that as well. With your height, you could be a nightmare for opposing linemen.

  4. a linebacker or a defensive end. i'd go with the DE you dont have to be giant to play there. the DE on our team is like 160 but hes fast so he can get around the slow linemen without a problem to the qb n nobody will expect u to catch the ball

  5. linebacker, safety,cb, or de
