Question:

What power converters/adapters do I need to bring my USA TV to France?

My 40" Samsung TV utilizes 245 watts. I'm bringing it to France but not to watch their cable so the whole SECAM/PAL/NTSC thing is *not* an issue. I'm only using it to connect to my U.S. XBOX so I can watch downloaded movies through the XBOX's usb port. Again, it will solely be connected to an XBOX, not cable of any kind. Cost to ship is also *not* an issue at all as it's completely covered by my company. I only need someone to confirm what is needed to power it correctly as everything I've looked for claims to only work for small appliances. Thanks alot!

  4. You can buy any power converter/transformer you want from a few watts to thousand of watts.

E-bay is full of 500W converters

  5. They use different current and different plugs.  Best to just buy a cheap one over there, it will be easier then going through all the hassels you will have to go through, and you won't have the problems of blowing up your TV, which can happen, and has happened to people I know.
