What precautions do I need to take..?

When travelling to India with my Canon DSLR?

I've been told to remove any "well known" brand names off protector bag etc.

Also...I'm climbing part of the Himalayas, and walking through part of the Nubra Valley...Is a basic protective bag (Loweprow) sufficient?

My main worry will probably be dropping it/getting wet and therefore creating condensation/bashing against rocks.

What can I do to prevent the following from happening?

  1. im sure the people over there could tell you if it would be ok, plus u can buy anything in india so easy. i would sadly tell you to go to a gp and get diarear stopper tablets. ive been there alot and the climate change plus basic seeds and spices they put in foods will give you  diarear for a cupple of days. basicly it happens 2 all just in such a new place and toilets with all the population are impossible to run into when you neada go and it sucks if you didnt get the diarear tabs from the doc before u go. having said that. go india! id go back anyday.
